Workshop Co-Ordinator

Overview:

The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of our manufacturing workshop. This includes ensuring availability of required components and tools, and supporting our manufacturing team to enable efficient and timely completion of work. The role requires strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to multi task priorities in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate workshop jobs in collaboration with Team Leaders and/or Project Managers

• Parts & Inventory Management

• Order materials, and consumables for current and upcoming jobs

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock and usage

• Shop Floor Organisation

• Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and well-organised

• Maintain and arrange workstations to suit job requirements

• Support for Production Team

• Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day workshop needs

• Respond to requests to resolve issues that may block progress

• Administrative Duties

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Practical understanding of workshop operations and technical workflows

• Proficiency with basic inventory and job tracking tools or software

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and anticipate team needs

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices

• Have a happy & positive attitude, be able to work well with all ages and nationalities

• Be able to use your initiative and be pro-active

• Must have valid drivers licence

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a technical, mechanical, or engineering workshop environment

• Experience supporting a team of tradespeople or Project Managers

• Forklift Licence is an advantage

• Basic Microsoft Excel/Outlook knowledge
