Client Side Fire Engineer - Compliance Co-ordinator

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for offering expert guidance to review, co-ordinate and deliver fire compliance programmes for the building services division.
- Coordinate compliance efforts, working closely with colleagues, external contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve annual certification and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct initial site surveys, confirm existing essential safety measures, and prepare planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Co-ordinate with the fire operations team on site to ensure deliverables are met.
- Review fire designs for new projects, provided by external consultancies to ensure they align with company standards.
- This dynamic role requires multitasking across various responsibilities while offering professional growth in a collaborative, high-responsibility environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor of Engineering in an appropriate field or substantial fire experience with a trade background.
- Relevant experience in essential services compliance or a related field.
- Develop a detailed understanding of legislative requirements for essential services maintenance in Victoria.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant maintenance codes and standards.
- Understand design and installation performance standards for fire services.
- Read and understand Fire Engineering Reports, Cause & Effect Matrixes, Annual Compliance Surveys, and smoke hazard management test results.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, professional demeanour and maintain the integrity and reputation of the company.
- Excellent written communication skills to ensure accurate written reports based on your findings.

- Hourly rate banding of approximately $90.00 - $95.00/hr.
