Lead Change Where It Matters Most

Do you want to be at the forefront of innovative interventions for family and domestic violence? Breathing Space is a world first and unique residential program for men who choose to use violence. The program has been running for 20 years and is at the forefront of men’s behaviour change interventions.

The program is delivered in a secure and supportive therapeutic setting and provides educational group work, counselling, case management and advocacy. This approach supports victim survivors, including children, to remain in their homes and in connection with their support networks, to maximise their safety.

The Role

Lead the day-to-day operations of Communicare’s Breathing Space program in Hedland

Manage a multidisciplinary team including Facilitators, Intake and Assessment Specialists, Support Workers, Family Safety Advocates and Cultural Advisors.

Ensure a high-quality delivery of group work, case management and advocacy.

Oversee risk management, policy compliance and program integrity.

Build strong relationships with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCO’s), government departments, community organisations and other stakeholders.

This position will be located in Hedland and is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight. Due to the nature of the position and industry, shift work and travel may be required.
