About Veritas House
Veritas House is a vibrant, not-for-profit, community-based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families.
About the role
In this pivotal role, you’ll support young people in achieving stable and sustainable tenancies through strengths-based case coordination, tenancy management, and proactive community engagement. You’ll be the key contact for housing partners and play a vital role in linking young people to essential supports, all while helping them build the skills to thrive independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate tenancy support for young people, including lease agreements, rental ledgers, property sourcing, and maintenance requests
Develop and review individual Tenant Support Plans and conduct strengths-based assessments and reassessments
Support young people to sustain tenancies by identifying risks early and implementing strategies to prevent housing breakdown
Deliver tenancy education programs such as Rent It Keep It
Act as the first point of contact for real estate agents and manage all community housing functions
Work collaboratively with caseworkers and other internal teams to support crisis interventions and tenancy sustainability
Build and maintain effective relationships with referral partners and housing providers.
Attend home visits and provide flexible support via face-to-face and virtual communication
Participate in interagency and service planning meetings to advocate for young people and promote Veritas services
Respond to tenancy risks, including attending emergency case meetings and facilitating difficult conversations with young people
Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational policies
Stay informed on trends, legislation, and best practice in transitional and community housing
Contribute to WH&S reporting, audits, team meetings, and organisational development activities
Participate in the on-call roster and work flexible hours as needed
Some of the perks
If you work with us, you will enjoy:
Access to not-for-profit salary packaging options of up to $15,900 per year plus meals and entertainment benefits (Salary Packaging can lower your taxable income and help you pay less tax – a great benefit to working for a not-for-profit organisation!)
Option to buy a car via novated leasing
Additional paid leave once your probationary period is complete (what we call ‘Wellbeing Days’)
Discounted gym memberships
Discounted Health Insurance
Use of a company vehicle for all work related travel
Working for a passionate, locally based community organisation that values diversity in all its forms
Opportunity to develop your skills through training and experience, working within a trauma informed team
Individual and group professional supervision with our Clinical and Consultation Services team
Great career opportunities – the chance to move into different roles in different services, to experience “higher duties” when a more senior worker is on leave, to be coached and mentored by experienced senior workers.
If you believe you meet the selection criteria, find that our values resonate and you are passionate about our mission, we’d like to hear from you.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria:
Minimum Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or a related field, with at least 2 years’ experience supporting vulnerable young people and families
Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and referral partners

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, including in challenging situations
High-level time management, organisational and accurate record-keeping skills
