Role

We are looking for a forward-thinking individual to join the business as a Supply Chain Coordinator/Planner in our team of 30 people in Sydney. The successful candidate will be a key interface between the traders, clients, and transport companies reporting to the head of Shipping and Logistics . This role will suit a highly motivated individual who can think on their feet and provide all parties with a service experience that will be second to none.

Daily responsibilities will include:

Manage and coordinate all aspects of inland transport once cargo has arrived in Australia.

Monitor budgeted costs and help negotiate rates with our 3PL service providers.

Maintain relationships with transport carriers and customer whilst helping to manage costs.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve transport -related issues quickly and efficiently.

Monitor inbound shipments (containerised and bulk) whilst on water, to effectively plan the outbound operational requirements from a transport perspective

Liaise with DITH clients for their deliveries

Support with planning Ocean Freight bookings

About you

We are looking for an individual with 4+ years of experience in supply planning, freight forwarding , or logistics background combined with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Someone who is not afraid to tackle problems head-on, has patience to deal with complex operations, and is willing to learn and pro-actively improve current systems to make our business more efficient. The ability to multi-function and juggle many balls at once will be key in this role. We are looking for someone who wants to join a fast-paced international trading office with the attitude of making a positive impact.
