About the role

Alfa Medical Centre and Skin Centre is seeking an experienced Part-time Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy medical facility in Cairns North, Queensland. This part-time position will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our thriving medical practice.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee all administrative and operational functions of the practice
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the clinical and administrative staff
• Implement and maintain efficient systems and processes to optimise patient flow and care delivery
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, policies and procedures
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, clinicians, and suppliers
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory control

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of the medical industry and healthcare regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven track record in optimising practice operations and improving efficiency
• Solid financial management skills and experience in budgeting and cost control
• Proficient in the use of medical practice management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Tertiary qualification in healthcare administration, business management or a related field is highly desirable
