Dr Michaela Lee is an Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist located at the Wesley Medical Centre, Auchenflower. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable Senior Practice Manager to join our friendly team.

Key duties will entail

· Providing first line contact with patients in a friendly and courteous manner via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

· Maintaining an accurate electronic based patient appointment diary.

· Preparing and running patient clinics.

· Booking surgery lists for obstetric, gynaecology and fertility patients.

· Data entry and general office duties.

· Liaising with Medicare and insurance providers.

· Invoicing/receipting medical accounts and account reconciliation.

· Managing and supporting Practice staff.

· Identifying, assessing and managing operational issues.

· Maintaining relationships with other Specialists and clinicians.

The ideal candidate must possess

· Previous leadership and management experience as the position is responsible for two medical reception staff.

· Excellent communication skills which can be delivered over the phone, via email and face-to-face.

· Strong organisational abilities and time management skills.

· An approachable and helpful demeanour.

· Confidence, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn even in unfamiliar situations.

· Excellent computer skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work cohesively in a team environment, be flexible and motivated.

· General understanding of medical terminology and the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.

Additional skills that are required include:

· Competence in Genie medical software use

· Good working knowledge or Eclipse billing software and Medical Objects.

Qualifications/Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role (ideally having come from another medical specialist practice).

Hours:

Part time / full time, (30-38 hours week) to be negotiated.
