We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our team at the beautiful Waterfront Function Center located at St George Motor Boat Club. As part of our commitment to delivering the best client experience, you will oversee every detail from post-sale all the way through to the actual event and planning. Your role will be integral in ensuring our events are flawlessly executed in 2025 and beyond.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of organisation, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and be a dynamic and responsive team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate events and liaise with the Catering manager, suppliers and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Create open communication channels and meaningful relationships with clients prior to their event to execute their vision, ensure quality and create the best opportunity at re-booking.
Attend pre-event and post-event meetings to communicate, review, and provide feedback as required.
Manage the Functions Booking System including, inputting key information from client meetings, producing reports and creating floorplans for events.
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a broader team that includes coordinators, sales executives, and front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) staff.
Manage event operations during your events, ensuring the smooth execution of food service, bar service, AV equipment requirements and the formalities of the event.
About You:
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the events industry in a similar Event Coordinator role.
A positive, mature attitude with a strong work ethic and a high level of customer service.
Sales experience is preferred, with a focus on upselling.
Excellent professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a close-knit team environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Passionate, adaptable, and driven to deliver positive client experiences.
Be available for evening, weekend and public holiday work
Have a valid RSA and RCG certification
