We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team, with a focus on architecting and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging your expertise in AWS services, networking, and security. You will also play a key role in driving DevOps practices, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the operational excellence of cloud environments. As a hands-on leader, you will lead incident resolution, automate security controls, and collaborate across teams to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets business needs while maintaining high security, availability, and compliance standards.

Required Skills:

To hit the ground running you will need;

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience administering Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a proven track record of architecting and implementing end-to-end (E2E) cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure.
• Expertise in configuring AWS networking services such as VPC, NAT Gateways, and Route 53, ensuring secure and efficient network design.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions using IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, S3, ELB, and Firewall configurations to meet complex business needs.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, with hands-on experience automating infrastructure deployment.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or Jenkins to drive DevOps practices and streamline deployment processes.
• Practical expertise in scaling cloud environments with Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancers, and CloudFront, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Comprehensive ownership of security across AWS infrastructure, including implementing identity and access management (IAM) policies, encryption mechanisms, and network security configurations.
• Familiarity with AWS monitoring and security tools, including CloudWatch, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and Security Hub, to detect and respond to vulnerabilities or threats.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix and/or Windows system administration, with a hands-on approach to managing cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proven ability to lead operational incident resolution, taking ownership to troubleshoot and restore services promptly and effectively while ensuring root cause analysis and preventative actions are documented.
• Proven ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for AWS architectures, workflows, and security practices.
• Experience collaborating in Agile teams and working with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Hands-on experience automating security controls in AWS environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Preferred experience with administering internal business applications and custom integrations around MS365, CRM systems, and finance modules.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Analyze business needs and design cloud solutions that align with enterprise requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure to support resilient and fault-tolerant services.
• Monitor and optimize cloud usage to improve cost efficiency, performance, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise architecture and security policies.
• Implement governance practices to maintain compliance with security, operational, and management standards.
• Regularly review and adapt cloud services to remain compatible with platform updates and emerging technologies.
• Identify risks and propose solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, risk logs, and operational workflows.
• Provide technical guidance to teams and stakeholders, including presentations on key projects and initiatives.
• Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies to recommend innovations and strategic investments.
