We’re currently on the lookout for a passionate Senior Cloud Architect to join our Oreta family in Melbourne.

This role sits at the heart of our presales and delivery team in Melbourne, where you'll work directly with both our internal sales team and trusted partners. You'll play a strategic advisory role, helping shape customer cloud strategies, designing high-level Azure solutions, and presenting them confidently to technical and business stakeholders.

We’re seeking someone with strong technical depth in Azure AD, virtualization, and cloud migration, pre-sales experience, and a consultative mindset - someone who’s not only passionate about cloud architecture and Azure technologies, but also thrives in client-facing conversations, can navigate enterprise environments, and is eager to share knowledge across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Work across presales and delivery functions to architect scalable, secure solutions across Azure, AWS, and modern workplace platforms (e.g., Intune, M365).

Engage directly with customers and sales teams to define cloud strategies and develop proposals aligned with business and technical needs.

Lead or co-lead solution design and presentations to customers and stakeholders.

Own the end-to-end architecture from design through to delivery handover.

Actively support the delivery team with deployment and configuration activities along with engineering team, including occasional after-hours involvement if required.

Stay current with cloud trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Contribute to knowledge-sharing and mentoring within the team.

Essential Requirement:

Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years in a cloud architecture, solutions consulting, or pre-sales capacity.

Proven experience in designing and delivering Microsoft Azure solutions, including landing zones, core infrastructure services, identity (Entra ID/Azure AD), automation, and governance.

Strong experience in designing and delivering AWS-based solutions; AWS certifications are highly regarded.

Proven experience in designing and delivering modern workplace solutions, including Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, and M365 security and compliance configurations.

Expertise in enterprise identity and access management, including Entra ID B2B/B2C, MFA, Conditional Access, and Entra ID Governance.

Broad technical foundation across Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (Citrix/VDI), DNS, and DHCP.

Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and familiarity with ISMS frameworks

Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in pre-sales, solution scoping, and advisory engagements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Desired Criteria:

Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and understanding of associated use cases in cloud environments.

Experience designing or deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience with VMware-based platforms, including vSphere, vSAN, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).

Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.

Exposure to SAN and enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp or Pure Storage.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, .NET, or other orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).

Familiarity with SQL or other relational database platforms from an infrastructure perspective.

Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
