Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Melbourne CBD, 1-3 days in office per week.

Join a fast-growing technology-driven organization committed to innovation, reliability, and security in the cloud. Our client needs a passionate and experienced SeniorAWS Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions across AWS infrastructure.

Role Summary:
Your role will sit across Platform, BAU, Security, and Advisory. You'll be a Senior writing end-to-end testable code, mentoring junior staff. You will liase between security and development teams, and have strong stakeholder engagement (internal and external).

You must bring strong DevSecOps experience as you will be building testable, object-oriented code. You will ensure the code is secure to be end-to-end tested.

Your AWS knowledge will be extensive, including how it works, problem solving, principals and programmes.

Top 4 skill sets needed:

1. Strong Developer - write testable code, and mentor junior developers in an AWS environment
2. Understand security e.g. threat response, threat detection, secure code etc
3. Familiar with AWS principles, work with AWS extensively (at least 5 years)
4. Strong stakeholder engagement skills (across security and development teams to ensure AWS outcomes)

Our client uses a Tech First approach, they always put the customer first and continuously innovate their products to stay competitive.

Although this contract is 6 months, extendibility is possible depending on your performance and attitude. Most of our contractors stay with this client for many years.

Daily rate: $1,000 - $1,200 per day inc Super
