As the newly appointed Payroll Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the payroll function. Supporting a workforce of ~1,200 employees across Australia, you’ll lead a small team while driving process improvements and ensuring payroll excellence across multiple cycles and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy and integrity
• Oversee multiple pay cycles, ensuring compliance and timeliness
• Interpret the Banking, Finance & Insurance Award with precision
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
• Reconcile payroll accounts and generate meaningful insights and reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax, superannuation, and industrial relations legislation
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Optimise use of iChris or similar payroll platforms

About You:

• Proven leadership experience in a senior payroll role
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and super
• Confident interpreting awards and navigating complex scenarios
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, process-focused, and values-aligned
• Experience with iChris highly regarded
