As our genU Group Payroll Manager, you'll be at the heart of making sure our people are paid accurately, on time, and in line with legislative requirements. You'll also help when things need to be investigated and resolved. This role leads the charge on all things payroll across genU, guiding a dedicated payroll team and collaborating closely with People & Culture, Finance, and external partners.
You'll play a key role in streamlining processes, ensuring governance and compliance, driving efficiency, and continually improving the way we work—ensuring our payroll operations not only meet business needs but also support a great employee experience.

Key responsibilities
As a Group Payroll Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll for the organisation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead and support the payroll operations and resolutions teams to drive high performance
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation and tax requirements
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline payroll processes
- Collaborate with broader People & Culture and Finance teams
- Oversee internal and external payroll audits
- Support governance reviews, reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies
- Stay informed on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance
About you
We are looking for dynamic and Values-led individuals who have:
- Previous experience in the management and administration of a large-scale payroll function (5000+ employees) for at least 5-7 years
- Experience working with SuccessFactors and SAP Payroll (WFS is a bonus)
- Understanding of Rostering/Time and Attendance solutions
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Requirements
To be eligible, you must have or willing to complete:
- NDIS Screening Workers Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
- A qualification in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
- A collaborative and flexible approach to work, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
