About the Company
We’re proud to be partnering with a leading national Not-for-Profit organisation that delivers meaningful support to individuals living with disability, mobility challenges, and the elderly across Australia. With over 700 employees and a growing People & Culture function, this is a purpose-driven environment where your work contributes to improving lives every day.

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a confident and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to take ownership of end-to-end payroll while also gaining valuable exposure to generalist HR. If you enjoy processing payroll with precision but are also curious about the HR space, this is a great step into a broader role, all within a supportive and values-led culture.

About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your primary focus will be on delivering timely and accurate payroll for the organisation, with additional responsibilities across the wider People & Culture function. Your duties will include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis
  • Managing superannuation, terminations, ad hoc payments, and leave entitlements
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries
  • Supporting payroll compliance, reconciliations, and internal reporting
  • Working closely with internal managers and external providers
  • Assisting with basic HR admin such as onboarding, employment contracts, and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting and maintaining the HRIS system (Zambion)

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and Excel
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
  • Confidence navigating payroll or HR systems (experience with Zambion a bonus)
  • An interest in expanding your knowledge into HR within a supportive team

Why Apply?

  • Join a values-driven Not-for-Profit making a real difference
  • Enjoy a stable, permanent opportunity with a strong payroll focus
  • Gain exposure to HR while staying anchored in what you do best
  • Work in a friendly and inclusive culture that genuinely supports its people
  • Competitive salary and a great team to learn from

This is an ideal role for a payroll professional looking to stay in their lane while adding HR knowledge to their toolkit for long-term growth.
