About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join the PBSM Group team. In this full-time role based in Maitland, NSW, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to drive new business growth for the company. As an integral part of the sales team, you will identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, negotiate contracts, and deliver exceptional customer service to support the company's ambitious expansion plans.
What you'll be doing
Proactively prospecting and generating new business opportunities through outbound sales activities, networking, and responding to tenders and requests for proposals
Building and maintaining a pipeline of high-value leads and converting them into closed sales
Developing and presenting tailored sales proposals and pitches to potential clients
Negotiating contract terms and closing new business deals
Providing excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the successful implementation of new customer accounts
Continuously researching the market, monitoring industry trends, and identifying new business opportunities
Achieving or exceeding individual and team sales targets
What we're looking for
Proven track record of success in a business development or sales role, preferably in the Trade, Construction & Mining industry
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and close deals
Proficiency in using sales enablement tools and CRM software to manage the sales pipeline
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the competitive landscape
Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
