Job Overview:

Big Steel Sheds are a family business located in Wagga Wagga who manufacture and supply large rural and industrial sheds.

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations in our steel shed fabrication facility.

The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe production of high-quality steel structures while adhering to company standards and meeting customer deadlines. The ability to multitask and oversee multiple aspects of the production cycle is essential.

You will be responsible for managing the fabrication team and optimizing production processes to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.

This is a hands-on role that will involve keeping track of all aspects of the production cycle as well as some welding and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversea daily operation for all fabrication and welding

Liaise with the management team in order to complete tasks when needed

Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of fabricators, welders, and other production staff.

Conduct daily team briefings to set expectations and address any concerns or updates.

Quality – control - Ensure that all fabricated steel structures meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Monitor stock levels of raw materials and components supplies to ensure timely procurement.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication (essential)

Experience in a supervisory role (essential)

Welding Qualification (essential)

Driving License (essential)

Experience using CNC plasma/ laser cutters (preferred)

Experience using CAD software (preferred)
