About the Role

We’re launching a new food production business and we’re looking for an experienced Food Production Supervisor to help us build it from the ground up.

This is more than a typical production role — it’s a chance to:

Lead daily food manufacturing operations.

Maintain food safety and quality standards.

Train and coach Supported Employees in food production skills and workplace habits.

Help transform our on-site canteen into a training environment where participants learn hospitality and food service skills.

Your leadership will ensure we produce top-quality products and create pathways for people with disabilities to gain real work skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day production of gluten-free cookies, fudge, popcorn, and other food products.

Ensure compliance with NSW Food Authority regulations and food safety standards (HACCP, cleaning schedules, records, etc.).

Develop and document standard operating procedures.

Train Supported Employees in food handling, hygiene, and production tasks.

Maintain accurate food safety records.

Assist in stock control and manage ingredient and packaging inventories.

Support development of our canteen into a skill-building program for Supported Employees.

Contribute to new product development and trial runs.

About You

You’ll be someone who:

Has experience supervising food production or working in a commercial food manufacturing environment.

Understands food safety standards and compliance (HACCP knowledge desirable).

Enjoys coaching and mentoring others, especially people with diverse abilities.

Can communicate clearly and patiently.

Takes pride in quality, efficiency, and maintaining high standards.
