We upcycle packaging waste in Australasia through the implementation of proven, scalable technologies that turn locally collected waste into locally distributed, recyclable building products.

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who will strive to ensure the long-term and short-term goals are realised by managing and mentoring the staff in their daily operations, maintaining the plant and supporting the direction and strategy of the business.

Responsibility:

The Production Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of Australia’s first Press Line to manufacture circular economy board products from everyday packaging waste.

This will include managing and training of staff, oversee Workplace Health & Safety for the plant, oversee the quality control of the finished products, coordinate plant maintenance, optimising plant performance in a commercial, profitable, and sustainable manner.

This is a 5-day a week role, which covers both operational days when the plant is running and non-operational days to complete preventative maintenance.

Primary Objective:

To supervise the operational staff, overseeing the operation of the plant, meeting production orders and dispatching of finished products in a safe, maintaining the plant in a sustainable, and efficient manner.

Specific Duties:

This is a hands on role, you will be part of the operational team being based on the factory floor, helping the staff complete their tasks, take deliveries, manage dispatches and provide cover for staff meal breaks and sick leave.

Provide leadership to the operational staff, so they share the company vision and operate the plant in a safe and sustainable manner.

Optimise plant, people, and resources to meet production orders and different feedstock combinations.

Complete preventative maintenance on the plant on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. Manage spare parts and other consumables. Having a mechanical/electrical experience is preferred as you will need to complete common maintenance activities.

Supervise operators on quality and control aspects to validate that the finished board products meet and exceed the specifications of the finished board products.

Improve operational management systems, processes to ensure the plant runs at optimal quality standards and performance.

Ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that the company complies with its health and safety obligations.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

2 to 3 years of production management experience

Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills

Team orientated approach and hands on supervisor skills

Proficiency in identifying issues and areas for improvement through analysis and ability to implement improvement

Ability to be flexible and adapt to business demands

Good written and verbal communication skills

Good level computer software skills, as the operating system is a touch screen HMI.

Mechanical experience to complete common maintenance tasks

Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Be able to work autonomously and independently

Ability to ensure that service's meet quality objectives

Shortlisted applicants will be required to:

Undergo a Federal Police clearance check

Be eligible to legally live and work in Australia

Undertake a pre-employment medical assessment relative to their position
