We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Management Accountant to play a critical role in financial operations and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside operational leaders and contribute directly to commercial decision-making across the business.

You’ll join a close-knit finance team within a fast-paced mining and civil contracting environment, where no two days are the same and your input genuinely matters.

Your New Role Will See You:

Own and deliver the month-end process, including journal processing and management reporting

Partner with operations to complete project-based month-end claims and budget reviews

Analyse cost performance and comment on key variances and KPIs

Manage payroll accounting and support the HR payroll team (approx. 100 staff)

Produce BAS, IAS, and support year-end processes including FBT and audit prep

Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and support cashflow forecasting

Drive improvements in reporting, financial systems, and data modelling (Advanced Excel)

Ensure timely reconciliations, intercompany transfers, loan processing, and compliance lodgements

Work closely with the Finance Manager to strengthen controls and support strategic initiatives

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Degree in Accounting + CA or CPA qualification

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining or civil sector

Strong technical skills and business acumen, with the ability to influence decisions

At least 2 years’ payroll accounting experience
