About the role

We are seeking a full time receptionist to work Tuesday - Saturday

At Cairns Doctors on Barr St, we pride ourselves on our exceptional service for both our patients and practitioners, therefore, the following attributes are required:

- Friendly customer service

- Professional phone manner

- High attention to detail

- Ability to multitask

- Knowledge of Medicare item numbers (preferred but not required)

The following daily tasks are some of the key responsibilities for this position:

- Greeting patients, answering phones, and booking appointments in our Best Practice appointment book

- Arriving and triaging patients accurately

- Billing and receipting payments from patients and/or third parties

- Administration support (scanning, importing of faxes, medical records exporting, recalling patients, debtors follow up etc).

- Adherence to relevant RACGP standards, comply with privacy and confidentiality principles

Skills and experience

Recent exposure within the medical industry and Best Practice Software experience is preferred but not required.
