Your New Role
The Finance Officer supports the Business Manager and the Principal in providing financial services to sustain the operations of the school community. This Leader has a key role to play at the operational level of the school in supporting the financial and fiscal responsibilities of the school. In these matters, this position works closely with and is responsible to the Principal and Business Manager. This position needs to be adaptable and able to cope with change and unexpected events as they arise. Additionally the Finance Leadership communicates effectively for all stakeholders, uses discretion and judgement to plan and organise their work and the work of others, is able to problem solve and displays expertise to making decisions. This role engages in accounts receivable, payable and debtors.

Salary: Level 5: $92, 406 per year - Unaveraged (works in school breaks)
Essential Requirements
Experience in the management of financial records and accounting processes
An ability to respond to complex and challenging financial situations and support families to work with the school to achieve success
An ability to identify and resolve problems, with the attention to detail required to meet the financial reporting obligations of the school
Experience in a variety of IT systems and software in order to meet the accounting and administrative needs of the school
Experience in a school setting would be an advantage
Provide exceptional customer service and case management to support the needs of
the school and the customer
Respectfully engage in the confidential record keeping required by the role
Demonstrate exceptional organisation and time management skills to deliver KPI’s efficiently and effectively
Experience or qualification in Business or Financial management
Current Drivers License
NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
