Your New Role
The Public Relations & Media Officer plays a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining the excellent reputation of Xavier Catholic College in the local community, the parishes of Albury, across the Diocese of Wagga Wagga online and across all media platforms.
This role requires the individual to be creative in the way the school is presented in all aspects of communication, aware of the needs of those they are reaching out to, and demonstrate a level of excellence in the way they manage the online and offline materials published for the school.
This role is significant in ensuring information sharing, engagement in school life and the promotion of school activities and school life is prioritised. The Public Relations Media Officer is one that exercises substantial responsibility, independent judgement and initiative with a detailed knowledge of complex marketing procedures, uses advanced skills and knowledge and adheres to set KPIs and deadlines set by the Principal and Leadership team to promote and support the mission of the Xavier school community.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (30 minute unpaid break)

Salary: Level 5: $92, 406 per year - Unaveraged (works in school breaks)
Selection Criteria
Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet targets and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality marketing and promotional material to a wide range of audiences using a variety of software packages in a timely manner
Demonstrated website management and use of back-end processes and systems operating environments with a minimum of three years of experience
Demonstrated experience in liaising with media
Demonstrated ability in utilising social media platforms as a marketing and communication tool
Demonstrated experience in using a range of technologies to enhance the narrative of communication efficiently and effectively
Proven ability to professionally and diligently manage Marketing tasks including a thorough knowledge of contemporary marketing methods
Experience and understanding in managing and working within budgets
Ability to deliver communications and information in a dynamic environment often within tight time frames
Experience in providing a high level of executive administrative support in a team environment inclusive of scheduling, records maintenance, data entry and event promotion
Essential Requirements
Current drivers licence
Tertiary qualification in marketing, communication or journalism or relevant industry experience is highly desirable
Qualifications or training in marketing or web design
Qualification in photography or graphic design is preferred
NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
