MAYDAY Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a leading retail organisation to find a Senior Business Analyst (Technical) to join their digital and IT transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in cross-functional project delivery, leveraging your expertise across Agile and traditional methodologies, business analysis, and technical systems integration.

In this role, you'll work with a variety of stakeholders—including SMEs, product owners, developers, and QA teams—to deliver scalable and innovative business solutions. Your strong command of Jira, Confluence, and SQL will be instrumental in driving process improvement, supporting UAT, and enabling seamless system implementations.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements
• Develop functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and process maps
• Define both functional and non-functional requirements for system implementations
• Configure and manage Jira boards, dashboards, workflows, and issue tracking
• Create structured documentation and knowledge bases in Confluence
• Support reporting, automation, and Jira/Confluence best practices
• Support project delivery across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks
• Assist with sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Act as the bridge between business teams and technical teams throughout the SDLC
• Support UAT, and coordinate test planning with QA
• Execute SQL queries to validate and analyse data
• Participate in data mapping, reporting, and system migration activities

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in a Business Analyst role within IT, digital, or enterprise system projects
• Experience within the retail industry is a must
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and hybrid delivery environments
• Proven experience working in transformation, software development, or ERP-related initiatives
• Experience with D365 is highly desirable
• Strong experience with Jira (workflow configuration, reporting, dashboards)
• Solid grasp of APIs, integrations, and data structures
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and validation
• Experience building Power BI reports is a plus
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and facilitation ability
• Comfortable working in complex, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environments
• Confident communicator and presenter
