We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic and fast-paced specialist practice in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics. This part-time 2 days per week role (Mondays and Thursdays) is ideal for an experienced receptionist who thrives in a clinical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and administrative excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to a team of specialist Doctors and the Practice Manager

Provide excellent customer service to our patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interactions with the practice

Manage incoming calls and patient enquiries with sensitivity and discretion

Efficiently manage patient bookings

Liaise professionally with hospitals, referring doctors, and allied health professionals

Process accounts, including invoicing, receipting, and Medicare/private health claims/Eclipse

Coordinate hospital admissions and theatre bookings for both obstetric and gynaecological procedures

Welcome and assist patients at reception, ensuring a warm and professional experience

Sort, scan, and distribute email, results, and clinical documentation as required

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Receptionist – experience in Women’s Health or Paediatrics highly regarded

Working knowledge of Gentu software highly advantageous

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a calm and empathetic approach to patient care

Demonstrated ability to prioritise and multitask in a high-pressure environment

High level of accuracy and attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills

Flexibility to cover staff leave
