About the Opportunity
T.E.A Transmissions is looking for an experienced and hands-on Office Administration Manager to drive our business operations, in Tiaro, QLD.
In this pivotal role you will be responsible for overseeing financial management, products, sales, inventory control, and daily business operations while maintaining the strong, collaborative team culture.
This role requires an individual who is looking to grow and diversify their skill-set. Your first 12 months will be a probationary period, after which you'll maintain and grow your responsibilities as a hands-on General Manager for the business.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing sales activities, preparing quotations, and delivering exceptional customer service
Overseeing financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, banking, payroll, and foreign exchange transactions
Leading stock ordering, inventory control, and warehouse coordination
Handling end-of-month and year-end financial procedures and reporting
Identifying business growth opportunities and executing sales strategies
Supporting operational tasks such as packing orders, stock receiving, and warehouse organisation when needed
Managing office administration, including ordering supplies and maintaining facilities
Providing leadership, mentorship, and training to the small, tight-knit team
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and collaborating with external accountants
Working closely with the current incumbent for a smooth leadership transition
About You
You'll be a practical, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, multi-faceted role. Whether managing finances, overseeing sales, liaising with clients, or supporting operations, you enjoy variety and taking ownership.
You have a business-savvy mindset with strong financial literacy—with accounting knowledge a strong advantage , confidence in working with numbers, quoting, and problem-solving is key. If you have sales or operations experience, great—but more importantly, you're a quick learner, eye for detail with commercial awareness.
You’re adaptability and proactive approach, will mean you're happy to step beyond your job title to support a small, tight-knit team. You’ll fit in well if you notice what needs doing and take initiative.
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries is beneficial but not essential—what matters most is a practical mindset and willingness to learn.
