About the Role

The Office Administrator will report directly to the Group General Manager and will lead all office administrative functions for the team. Key responsibilities include:

HR Administration & Payroll

Manage onboarding and offboarding, including IT setup, system access, inductions, and asset return

Maintain accurate employee records, licenses, policies, and compliance documentation

Process fortnightly payroll, manage leave records, and respond to payroll-related queries

Provide admin support for HSEQ, employee milestones, training coordination, and improvement projects

Oversee apprenticeship administration including signups, training contracts, and program transitions

Office & Resource Management

Manage IT and mobile phone assets, including provisioning, agreements, and device tracking

Oversee uniform inventory, vehicle agreements, fuel cards, e-Tags, and servicing coordination

Order office supplies and maintain vendor accounts with Woolworths, Officeworks, and Bunnings

Coordinate internal training, staff events, and assist with communications and logistics

Handle general office operations, facility maintenance, and repairs

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a varied role and enjoys being the go-to person in the office. You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and confident in managing competing priorities across HR, payroll, and office operations.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience in office administration, HR or payroll support roles

Be confident with systems, processes, and troubleshooting day-to-day issues

Take initiative and enjoy creating order and improving workflows

Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external contacts

Bring a friendly, can-do attitude and enjoy being part of a high-performing team

Bonus points if you:

Have experience supporting a construction or trades-based workforce

Are familiar with managing payroll, HR, or compliance across multiple entities or awards

Have worked with apprenticeships, training contracts, or industry schemes like QLeave

Understand the juggle of office, site-based, and field staff needs

Please note, this is an in-office role with standard business hours. You can expect people to drop by with their coffee and questions, no day will be the same! But at the end of the day, work can be left at work because we're all about enjoying life.
