About The Role
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, supporting system integration, and being the go-to resource for your client base. You’ll combine deep technical understanding with commercial savvy to deliver tailored solutions that solve real-world problems.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing and growing a defined territory across VIC
Providing hands-on technical sales support for sensors, controls, and automation solutions
Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
Securing new business through prospecting and technical engagement
Leading product demonstrations, training, and on-site consultations
Collaborating with application engineers and product specialists
Keeping up with industry innovations and trends
About You
As the successful candidate for this role, you will be a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on solving problems, understanding customer needs, and delivering value through technical solutions. Whether you're demoing new tech on-site or mapping out a custom system spec, you're in your element when engaging clients with purpose and precision.
Additionally, you will bring:
Proven experience in a technical sales role within automation, sensors, controls, or industrial solutions
Qualifications in engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field
A strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with a natural problem-solving mindset
Confidence presenting and consulting with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
Excellent communication and territory management skills
A proactive, self-driven approach to business development
Salary & Benefits
$100,000 to $120,000 + Super + Car Allowance + Commissions
