Position Summary:

This exciting hybrid role will require an experienced technical sales manager to work closely with the APAC sales director to provide pre-sales technical and business support to new and existing key customers, distributors and system integrators using our extensive portfolio of RFID authentication products throughout the APAC territory.

Approximately 60% of time will be spent on providing pre-sales and technical support, and the remaining 40% will be spent supporting and growing the business within existing key accounts, expanding the channel business by adding new partners and growing the OEM / embedded business by seeking new OEM partners within the Australia and New Zealand territory.

This role provides a crucial link between the customer and / or channel and our product managers, thereby becoming a focal point in all things technical between the go-to-market team and our customers. The successful candidate will become the ‘voice of the customer’ in the APAC region, liaising back to HQ for potential products development and enhancements.

Major Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:

· Develop and implement a sales plan for the Australia / New Zealand territory

· Define and/or design technical requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions

· Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training both internal/external

· Prepare technical responses to tenders and RFI’s

· Offer post-sales support and provide technical back-up as required

· Act as a liaison between the sales team and product development team to improve customer experience

· Establish new, and expand/maintain existing relationships with customers and channel partners

Specific Responsibilities:

· Build and deliver technical training workshops to channel partners and end customers

· Travel throughout APAC visiting current & potential customers, partners, and trade shows as needed

· Collaborate with customers to identify requirements and challenges

· Analyze current solutions and develop innovative alternatives to meet customer needs

· Provide input to product feature enhancements and process improvements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Possesses exceptional organization and time management skills

· Expertise in solving complex technical problems and explaining solutions

· Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication abilities

· Ability to Interact effectively with all levels of an organization, regardless of reporting relationship and have the same ability when it comes to external partners and customers

· Inquisitive with the ability and desire to learn fast and become the trusted expert for the rf IDEAS product portfolio

· Ability to positively influence key stakeholders and customers

· Track record of commitment to quality and professionalism

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, either Computer or Electronics

· 4-7 years of related technical and market experience

· Fluent spoken and written English

· Experience within a Print OEM-manufacturer, secure print software provider, or an identity access management software provider is highly desirable

· Fluent spoken and written Mandarin/Japanese is highly desirable
