Technical Sales and Business Development role
Reporting to the General Manager-Technical Solutions and Business Development, this role involves direct customer engagement, solution development, and strategic account management alongside business development.
The primary focus of this role is to increase sales revenue and assist with the development of new business opportunities for our expanding range of products.
The successful applicant will have a vital role in building the business brand by generating and qualifying leads and nurturing industry relationships to close deals.
Role Responsibilities
Identify and capitalise on new sales opportunities within target segments to drive business growth.
Cold-calling prospects found through business directories or client referrals.
Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets
Provide technical consultation and product recommendations aligned to customer production processes and performance requirements.
Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, pricing models, and presentations in line with commercial strategy.
Partner with internal stakeholders including operations, procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure service excellence.
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and forecasting through CRM tools.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars as required.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key competencies and experiences:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
2+ years experience in B2B sales within industrial chemicals, manufacturing, or a technical supply environment.
Experience with chemical or manufacturing industries preferred.
Demonstrated success in both new business development and key account growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Confident and outgoing personality with excellent written and verbal communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to provide technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
B2B Technical Sales background in Oil and Gas or similar industry.
A working knowledge of chemical applications in manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
Self-motivated, outcome-oriented, and capable of working independently in a field-based sales role.
Willingness to travel interstate as required.
You must have full time work rights in Australia without sponsorship or restrictions.
