The Automation Engineer - Solutions (AE) is a key position in our team, helping to anticipate and understand market needs. You'll assist in developing innovative engineered automated solutions and focus on creating a suite of machine-level control solutions to support our customers with our top-notch conveyor and sorter products.

Your goal will be to build credibility and develop a robust controls offering, enabling our sales team to cross-sell this with our established conveyor platform. You'll collaborate across the organization with various stakeholders to identify and execute new opportunities to enhance our service offering in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

· Define and develop machine-level control architectures in line with company standards.

· Create a tiered project scope to issue RFQs for service partners.

· Establish industrial networking standards that meet company guidelines.

· Understand Interroll's internal software offerings to build cross-selling strategies for sales teams.

· Collaborate with partners and colleagues to adjust function blocks and code for each project.

· Provide commissioning support during critical projects.

· Help drive the success of innovative solutions.

Who are we looking for:

· Degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or similar engineering discipline

· At least 5 years of experience in a related role and involvement in R&D projects

· Solid working knowledge of PLC programming, specifically Siemens systems

· Proficiency in various programming languages, including ST and ladder logic

· Experience in warehouse logistics is a plus

· Comfortable traveling to regional project sites during commissioning phases

· Proficient in drawing software and packages

· Skilled in the MS office suite

· Detail-oriented and organized individual

· Excellent communication capabilities

· Zest for innovation
