About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Supervisor, each day is dynamic and exciting. You will be working in the Supply Chain department, creating and planning solutions for current and prospective clients. In addition to generating solutions, you will be liaising with partner suppliers, reviewing reports, working with internal teams on process design, and taking ownership of short-term and long-term projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assisting rate negotiations with suppliers and supplier management
Assist in logistics modelling design and solution design
Assisting sales teams with prospective deals
Review detailed DIFOT reports and highlight trends to key stakeholders
Join and attend internal and external meetings to discuss logistics planning
Continuously reviewing data and processes to seek efficiency improvements
Assisting in new product development and project work
Managing projects and bringing teams together to develop solutions
Undergo formal training in compliance and relevant fields
The skills you will be expected to bring include:
Tertiary qualification is well regarded, however not mandatory
Relevant industry experience is well regarded, however not mandatory
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously
Passion for solutions development and Supply Chain/Logistics
Problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Intermediate Excel, Microsoft suite and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Willingness to be coached and learn on the job
While a tertiary qualification or prior experience is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role. If you are looking to start your career in Supply Chain, or if you are working in the industry and looking for the next step up, this is the role for you.
Comprehensive on the job training and mentoring will be provided, though you will be expected to hit the ground running and an ability to learn quickly and bring enthusiasm to the role will be highly regarded.
