Gundagai Services Club is situated approximately halfway between Sydney and Melbourne in the Riverina district, Gundagai is one of Australia’s most picturesque country towns with a rich cultural heritage. At the heart of the community lies Gundagai Services Club, a popular meeting place offering a range of services and activities for members and guests, seven days a week. These include a restaurant, bar, coffee lounge, function space, TAB, Keno and quality entertainment, plus a range of sporting options with a top class 18-hole golf course, two bowling greens, tennis and squash courts.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. A critical role in the business, running the day-to-day operations of the club, managing a team of supervisors, full-time and casual staff and leading from the front to achieve the best atmosphere and experience for our members and guests. While this is primarily an office-based role, regular evening and weekend work on a rotating and balanced roster is a requirement of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations across the club, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations including gaming, catering, beverage, facilities & sports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including gaming regulations, RSA and WHS requirements.
• Monitor and respond to sales data to support and enhance commercial decision-making.
• Drive customer service excellence, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality member and guest experience, manage repairs and maintenance.
• Utilise and manage software platforms including SenPOS, and eBet.
• Manage recruitment, training and development of a medium-sized hospitality team.
• Liaise with committees, contractors and business partners.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
• Current RSA, ARCG, and First Aid certifications.
• Experience in a senior operations role desired within the club or hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing large, multi-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements within the club environment.
