Systems Administrator - Chermside - Hybrid - up to $120k + super

Robert Half are exclusively partnered with a global business in the Medical industry. They're a leading manufacturer with 6+ sites across the APAC region who have shown consistent growth, hence the expansion of their APAC IT team.

This is an opportunity to take on full responsibility for maintaining and optimizing both on-premise and IaaS data center components while contributing to global IT projects such as infrastructure relocations, backup storage replacements, and Azure strategy development. For the right candidate, development opportunities into the global IT team may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor data center hardware including physical servers, storage and peripherals.
• Ensure the integrity and availability of critical hardware, server resources, and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, malfunctions, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Implement procedures, policies, and standards to optimize work operations.
• Act as an escalation point for operational service exceptions.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Manage assigned on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure.
• Ensure the security of all hardware and software systems.

Required Skills:

• Experience with data center software and platforms such as virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), Microsoft technologies (Server products, Active Directory, Exchange), and automation tools (e.g., SCCM).
• Proficiency with backup and replication technologies (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik).
• Understanding of IT security best practices and infrastructure architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, bash, Python).
• Exposure to ITIL frameworks and service processes.
