About the Role
The Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) is seeking a dedicated Fieldwork Placement Coordinator to lead and manage student placements within our Bachelor of Community Services (BCS) program. This role is central to ensuring students undertake meaningful, well-supported, and compliant professional experience in community service settings across NSW.

The Fieldwork Placement Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with community sector organisations, coordinating student placements from commencement to completion, conducting agency liaisons, and ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements and best practice in social and community work education.

Key Responsibilities

Secure and manage placement opportunities for eligible BCS students (200 hours, 2–3 days per week).

Act as the main point of contact between CIHE, placement organisations, and students.

Facilitate pre-placement preparation and post-placement debriefing for students.

Monitor placement progress, address concerns, and ensure risk and compliance protocols are met.

Maintain accurate records and placement documentation in accordance with TEQSA and CWA standards.

Contribute to the ongoing development of field education curriculum and policy.

Represent CIHE in community and industry networks to promote the program and foster partnerships.

Key Selection Criteria

A degree in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in coordinating or supervising field education or student placements.

Strong knowledge of the community services sector and its current challenges and priorities.

Excellent organisational and communication skills, including cross-cultural competence.

Ability to build positive working relationships with students and sector partners.

Understanding of TEQSA and CWA field education standards (or willingness to learn).
