About the role
The Crown Institute of Higher Education is seeking highly motivated and experienced Lecturers to join our academic team in the Bachelor of Community Services (BCS) program.

As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment, supporting diverse student cohorts, and contributing to curriculum development and academic governance.

Positions are available on a full-time, part-time, or sessional basis at our Sydney campus.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing and delivering engaging lectures, tutorials and workshops to undergraduate students.

Developing, delivering and marking assessments, including essays, case studies, presentations and group projects.

Providing academic support to students, including guidance with academic writing, reflective practice, and field readiness.

Participating in curriculum development and review to ensure course content is contemporary, evidence-based and aligned with industry needs.

Supporting students with field education preparation in collaboration with the placement coordinator.

Contributing to academic committees, moderation processes, and quality assurance activities.

Engaging in CWA approved professional development to maintain relevance in teaching and sector engagement.

What we’re looking for

A relevant postgraduate qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience teaching in higher education or VET settings, with a student-centred and inclusive approach.

Strong knowledge of community services theory and practice, including areas such as trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, and social justice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with international and ESL students.

Familiarity with higher education quality standards (e.g. TEQSA, CWA, ASWEAS) is desirable.

A commitment to reflective teaching, academic integrity, and continuous improvement.
