Warehouse Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager. As Décor’s Warehouse Manager you will be at the heart of our operations. You will lead our operations team in a high-volume, multi-SKU environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, systems knowledge and logistic experience, ensuing a safe efficient, and accurate handling of inventory. Experience in e-commerce import based distribution is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
Manage and oversee all daily warehouse activities including inbound container receiving, stock put-away, order picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processing.
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and system reconciliations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous operational improvements.
2. Systems & Process Improvement
Manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure all warehouse workflows are fully integrated and optimised.
Streamline processes to reduce manual handling and picking errors.
Work closely with procurement, ecommerce, customer service, and logistics teams to maintain service levels and efficient workflow.
3. Inventory & Space Planning
Ensure optimal bin location planning, racking usage, and FIFO stock movement.
Manage warehouse layout changes to support product range expansion and peak periods.
Oversee all stocktakes, inventory audits, and investigations.
4. Freight & Logistics Coordination
Manage courier bookings, freight negotiations, and container unloading schedules.
Liaise with third-party logistics (3PL), suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery timelines are met.
5. Team Leadership
Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, forklift drivers, and pick/pack personnel.
Ensure all staff adhere to WHS protocols and warehouse safety standards.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for warehouse roles.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a senior warehouse supervisory role.
Proven ability to manage high SKU volumes in ecommerce or wholesale environments.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS experience essential).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills highly desirable
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of WHS standards and manual handling safety procedures.
Valid Forklift Licence (LF Class) – Required
Valid Order Picker Licence (LO Class) – Required
NetSuite, or dotWMS experience preferred.
