Join the Ellwood Crew – Adventure Tours, Workshop & Rentals Coordinator
We’re not your average business — we run epic motorcycle adventure tours across some of the most remote and bucket-list destinations you can ride. From the tip of Cape York to the red centre of Australia and beyond, we give riders the trip of a lifetime — and we need someone behind the scenes to help make the magic happen.
This role sits right at the heart of our business, keeping the wheels turning (literally) behind the scenes to ensure every tour and rental runs like clockwork.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing bookings and client records, keeping our booking system up-to-date and running smoothly.
Responding to client enquiries — answering calls and emails, providing tour info, explaining our motorcycle options, and helping riders get booked in.
Updating the website with live availability and ensuring booking details are accurate.
Handling general admin, office tasks, and customer communication across both tours and rentals.
Helping promote and grow our road bike rental fleet, assisting with rental bookings, client handovers, and hire paperwork.
Coordinating stock, gear, and inventory for our support trucks and workshop.
Ordering and packing food, supplies, and equipment ready for each tour departure.
Working alongside our workshop team to prepare tour numbers, organise parts, and keep things on schedule.
Taking ownership of your workload — this is a self-managed role where you’ll be trusted to get the job done without constant supervision.
Helping manage the behind-the-scenes logistics that keep our tours and rentals rolling out smoothly, especially during peak season.
Where you’ll be based:
You’ll primarily be working out of our main workshop in Bungalow, QLD, with occasional work at our secondary workshop in Trinity Beach.
A current driver's licence is essential for getting between locations and assisting with vehicle or trailer movements when needed.
A bit about the role:
We operate in a fast-paced seasonal environment — our peak season runs from May to November. During this time things move quickly, and leave may not be approved due to operational needs.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract starting ASAP and running through until 31st December 2025.
For the right person, there is opportunity for this role to continue beyond that.
There’s also the chance to join some of our adventure tours and experience the trips first-hand.
While most hours are Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work may be required depending on operational needs during the season. Weekend penalty rates apply as per the Award.
Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right applicant who brings the skills, experience, and attitude we're looking for.
A bit about you:
You’re highly organised, efficient and great at staying on top of things.
You’ve got great communication skills, love working with people, and you’re happy talking to clients directly.
You’ve got solid computer skills (Word, Excel, email systems) and are willing to learn new booking software.
You’ve either got a good knowledge of motorcycles — or you’re keen and willing to learn fast.
You have a bubbly, outgoing personality that fits in with our crew and our customers — we’re after someone who brings great energy and loves a bit of banter with both the team and clients.
You hold a current driver’s licence (essential), and a motorcycle licence is a definite advantage.
You’re able to work independently, make decisions, and take responsibility for getting things done.
Award, Pay & Bonus Commission:
This role is covered under the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 (MA000002).
Base pay starts from $30 per hour, with final pay rate negotiable depending on skills and experience.
Full-time, fixed-term contract: Commencing ASAP through to 31st December 2025.
Occasional weekend work may be required during peak periods (weekend penalty rates apply as per Award).
Rental Commission: In addition to your base wage, we offer a 10% commission on any road bike rental bookings you personally secure. This is a great opportunity to earn extra income while helping us grow this exciting new part of the business.
About us:
At Ellwood Motorcycle Adventures, we live and breathe remote adventure riding. We’re a small family-run business with a crew that loves what we do — and it shows. Our team works hard, has fun, and takes a huge amount of pride in giving our riders the best experience possible, whether that’s in the middle of the desert or back at the workshop preparing for the next run.
