Australian Sunset Safaris is one of the most exciting tour companies in Queensland. Our main places of operation are Moreton Island, Fraser Island and the Southern Great Barrier Reef, performing day tours and multi day tours. We service the domestic and international tourism industry for travelers and visitors to Queensland, and also provide education tours and camps for schools and universities from Australia and all over the world.

Sunset Safaris is well known in the industry for having fun, and our tour guides play a vital role in this strategy. We are strongly customer focused, and all who work in our company must be service orientated accordingly. While preferred, experience in the tourism industry is not essential, as training is provided. This position may spend nights away from home performing Day Tours and Multi-Day Tours. Busy days are offset by a very rewarding lifestyle. Most meals and all camping & accommodation facilities are provided while on tour.

1. Experienced 4WD Heavy Vehicle Drivers/Tour Guides (APPLY NOW)
2. Experienced Adventure Tour Guides
3. Non-experienced & Junior staff wanting to be a Tour Guide with a passion to enjoy life
4. Coxswain 2 or greater ticket holders

Daily tasks for a Sunset Safaris Tour Guide may include the following:

• 4WD bus driving along untamed 4WD tracks on Sand Islands like Moreton Island and Fraser Island
• Sight Seeing incredible scenery such as Cape Moreton, Eli Creek, Champagne Pools, Lady Musgrave Island and lagoon, Blue Lagoon, and so much more
• Showing customers the joy of sand tobogganing at speeds of up to 60km/h at the desert
• Snorkeling with customers around the Tangalooma Ship Wrecks seeing coral, fish and exotic marine life
• Experiencing Transparent day Kayaking (and night Kayaking with strong lights) seeing amazing marine life and colours like never before
• Enjoy staying overnight on the beach as our “set-up tour guide" living the camping life in our caravan with the ocean and beach at your doorstep. Go fishing or surfing in your spare time after work. Enjoy a campfire and the stars in true paradise

The following are MUST Have requirements for this role:

• Live in (or intend to live in), or close to the Brisbane, Logan or Gold Coast region
• A love for the great outdoors
• Great communication skills
• A Fun-loving personality
• Able to do some heavy lifting

Successful candidates will have an advantage if they posses some or all of the following (bold represents most sort after):

• Medium Rigid Licence or greater
• A commercial boat and/or PWC licence (coxswain 2 or higher)
• Heavy vehicle driving experience
• 4WD driving experience
• A good driving record
• A Queensland Drivers Authority, or the ability to gain one
• Strong Mechanical Knowledge
• Ability & desire to live multiple days per week on Moreton Island
• Knowledge of Fraser Island
• Knowledge of Moreton Island
• Cooking and Camping Skills
• Good swimming skills
• A current First Aid qualification
