Expected hours – 20- 38 hrs per week
HIGA Level 5 Base Rate + Penalties
Stunning, Award-Winning Venue searching for a passionate and talented Hospitality Professional to manage our Restaurant Pass and deliver an exceptional customer experience at one of Brisbane’s most iconic waterfront destinations.
Are you the calm in the chaos? Our fast-paced, high-energy restaurant is looking for focused, reliable and detail-oriented team members to manage the critical food pass position.
As the integral link between Front of House (FOH) and Kitchen, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every plate meets our standards and gets to the guest fast and flawless. You will thrive in the heart of the action, balancing pressure from both sides with grace and precision.
As the Restaurant Expeditor, you will need to display the following traits:
Attention to detail – As the last set of eyes on the dish, expeditors must pay close attention to all the details, ensuring every plate is correct while meeting quality standards.
Excellent communication – Expeditors need to communicate requests clearly between serving and kitchen staff, ensuring the right information is relayed to the right people
Time Management – Expediating is a fast-paced role where prioritisation is key. Expeditors manage multiple orders at once, ensuring each dish reaches the guests promptly.
Organisation – An expeditor is also in charge of keeping the pass clean amidst all the chaos of a busy service, ensuring that all safety standards are met throughout the entire shift.
Menu knowledge – Expeditors need to know the menu inside out – and understand what can and can not be customised along with how each dish should look once it’s completed.
Problem Solving – Mistakes happen in any restaurant, but great expeditors know how to come up with solutions quickly.
Ability to handle stress – Orders pile up! Expeditors need to stay composed under pressure, ensuring the service stays quick with limited mistakes.
Teamwork – Like any other role at a restaurant, expeditors need to work with others. They may need to step in and help team members during peak periods (and receive help from others)
Physical stamina – Expeditors are on their feet for the entire shift, walking back and forth along the pass (and to and from tables if required)
You may be someone who:
· Has a strong restaurant FOH supervisory background, OR
· Cook/Chef with pass and a la carte understanding, OR
· A long time hospitality worker who is looking for a change in role
