The Aspley Hornets is a well-established AFL community club in Brisbane’s North, providing football pathways from Auskick through to senior men’s and women’s teams, including Masters. About the Role

This is a hands-on, part-time role for someone who is passionate about AFL, community engagement, and growing Women’s and Girls participation. Reporting to the Football Operations Manager, you’ll help deliver the day-to-day operations of our football programs and lead coordination of the Women’s & Girls portfolio.

You’ll support training and game-day logistics, team setup, apparel and equipment management, and be the main point of contact for female football enquiries and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate Saturday morning junior and youth football operations

Assist with the preparation and upkeep of team apparel and equipment

Maintain game-day facilities and support major club events

Drive Women’s & Girls engagement and assist with recruitment and onboarding

Support accreditation, blue card compliance, and PlayHQ administration

Promote strong communication between players, parents, coaches, and the club

About You

Previous experience in football operations, sport coordination or community sport

Passionate about AFL and growing the game, particularly among women and girls

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, Teams)

Strong time management and organisational skills

Ability to work weekends and adjust to seasonal requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
