Joondalup Business Association (JBA) is an Association incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA). It represents several local business industries, with members actively encouraged to promote and build their business connections.
The Role/Position Description
The role of the Events Coordinator is to assist in the organisation of the events and marketing for JBA to its membership base and to help attract new members to the organisation.
The role will also assist with events and corporate functions and provide administrative support to the Chair and Board of JBA.
The functions include but are not limited to:
Events Coordinator 30 hours per fortnight
- Organise list of events (Awards night not included).
- Prepare marketing for events
- Post on Social Media pre and post event
- Liaise with host prior to event
- Liaise with CoJ for their events
Assistance with the Awards night coordination and promotion may incur additional hours of work.
The successful candidate should have a broad range of experience in business event management, possess exceptionally demonstrated leadership and management skill, and have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to work autonomously and with a focus on delivering results.
They must have experience of posting on social media, collating information and statistics from events. Liaison with hosts prior to events requires excellent communication and negotiations skills and strong consumer and business relationships with Key Stakeholders.
Demonstrates ability to prepare marketing materials and promote to the membership base are essential criteria for the role.
