Join Laydigo Group as our People & Culture Manager! As a group of expanding medical clinics and disability providers, we are seeking a hands-on and passionate manager to implement and lead HR functions that will support our continued growth and make an impact on the health and disability support industry.
At Laydigo Group, we value working as a team to support the organisation’s business strategies. From our recent expansions, we require a People and Culture Manager to ensure we are streamlining and maintaining compliant HR practices across our businesses. Our head office is in Bundaberg; however, we also have operations in Townsville, Mackay, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.
Position Overview/ About the Role
As our People and Culture Manager, you will be fundamental in developing and implementing various HR practices and strategies to continue our growth.
This is a crucial role suited to an experienced HR professional who can bring their operational expertise to be proactive in identifying areas requiring improvements and have the strategic foresight and leadership skills to develop and implement such improvements.
As our sole HR professional, you will be reporting directly to the CEO/CFO and will assume control on the full scope of the HR functions of the businesses to oversee the full employee and contractor lifecycle.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and foster the employee experience, HR compliance and contribute to the group’s alignment to business strategies.
What You’ll Do
You will oversee the full scope of the Human Resources functions across our Medical Clinics, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Child Safety and Community programs and other administration and finance teams.
Review current HR processes and policies across the organisations
Implement changes that will streamline and refine HR practices across the organisations
Ensure workforce compliance with the relevant standards and awards, i.e., SCHADS Award, Nurses Award, NDIS Practice Standards and Fair Work.
Lead HR operations, recruitment and performance management
Support managers and team leaders with staff performance and development
Maintain HR systems and employee records
Assist in maintaining our positive, inclusive and professional team culture
What You’ll Bring
Due to the broad scope in your role and responsibilities, a strong background in a role requiring operational and strategic practices will be essential to your success. Your ability to build effective and reliable relationships based on strong and competent guidance will assist in sustaining our dependable and authentic team.
The ideal candidate will also have:
Degree or equivalent experience in HR or Business
3+ years in an HR leadership role, preferably in disability, community services or health sector.
Extensive experience in interpreting awards and providing advice on employee matters and investigations.
High level HR generalist skills and knowledge (including work with legislation and policies)
Experience with Employment Hero is also highly regarded
