The Venue

Estate Vaucluse House is a beautiful restaurant and historic wedding venue set in 10 hectares of picturesque grounds and lush gardens. Vaucluse House is one of Sydney’s few 19th-century mansions. The food menu blends the style and grace of the art deco surroundings with the very best seasonable produce and handpicked ingredients from our very own kitchen garden.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to add a flourish to our exceptional kitchen team. Estate Vaucluse House allows the ideal candidate to really broaden their cooking skills, working in both the restaurant and our wedding venue. It also allows a more stable work life balance, with the restaurant open Wednesday to Sunday 11am-4pm. The only evening work required would be for an event. No two days are ever the same with Pearl, which means this would be the perfect role for someone looking for a new challenge.

Your role will be to assist the head chef in delivering food of an exceptional standard while adhering to the food hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with the kitchen team in creating and executing unforgettable menus.

Supporting the head chef in day to day operations.

Preparing high volumes of food, to an extremely high standard.

Assisting in monitoring Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.

Preparing dishes in a fast paced environment.

Supporting the head chef in managing and rotating stock.

About You

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie.

A positive can-do attitude.

A keen eye for detail.

A willingness to learn and develop.

A passion for high quality food.

The ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Strong knife skills.

Have full right to work in Australia.
