About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Porcellino. The restaurant is situated in the forecourt of Australia’s oldest hospital, Porcellino provides seasonal and contemporary cafe dining to Sydney CBD.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality contemporary cafe dishes and

private catering functions hosted at our venue.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of contemporary cafe dishes to the highest standard

Ensuring the efficient and organised running of your designated station

Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and enhance existing recipes

Assisting in the planning and preparation of food for on-site catering and private functions, including corporate events and group bookings

Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies

Working as part of a close-knit, high-performing culinary team

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or cafe

Strong knowledge of contemporary cafe cuisine and cooking techniques

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional quality

Team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude

A formal culinary qualification such as a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
