About Us:
The Yass Soldiers Club is nearing completion of major renovations & upgrades. As the catering department of the Yass Soldiers Club expands an exciting career opportunity has become available for a talented, highly motivated and proactive Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade and contribute to the next chapter in our journey.

The Role:
As a Chef de Partie, you’ll be a key player in our kitchen team, responsible for ensuring that the kitchen opperates to its highest potential and dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You have the opportunity to be a driving force in a major turning point for the venues catering department. You will be given the opportunity to take ownership of a section, showcase your skills, and contribute to the ongoing development of the kitchen. We're looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, eager to learn, and has a drive to help elevate our culinary offerings & capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage your designated section of the kitchen.
Ensure food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the clubs high standards and exceed them where possible with the ideal of constant small improvements leading to major improvements over time.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Assist with training and mentoring team members, sharing your knowledge to elevate the team’s performance, while being open to learning from team members at the same time.
Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve processes, techniques, and dishes.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards within the kitchen.

Who We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast paced high-quality kitchen. Formal cooking qualifications (a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
A passion for cooking and a strong desire to improve the overall standard of the kitchen.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to mentor and develop others.
Strong communication skills and a calm, focused approach to high-pressure situations. Maintain high level of personal hygiene and Presentation
A positive and adaptable mindset, eager to be part of a growing team with a shared vision for success.
A genuine desire to assist in making positive changes to the kitchen as a whole.
