About the Opportunity:

A leading global technology group is seeking a commercially driven, entrepreneurial, Business Unit Manager to lead and scale its business messaging division. This includes SMS, chatbot, and API-based communication platforms now being rolled out across an impressive client within corporate and government clients.

This role is not for the faint hearted, your skill and experience within technology business verticals must be on point and more so within technology communication. Messaging can be viewed as an essential part of today’s instant communications world, we live in. The adoption of instant messaging is growing fast for immediate impact as well as customer success and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the growth and manage business operations of the messaging solutions business unit, including web portal and API-based platforms as well as SMS
• You will have the experience and capability to govern, manage & keep an eye on the development of of apps and technology as well as keep on top of product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product, customer success, and technical teams to ensure smooth rollout and adoption.
• Engage directly with enterprise and government clients to understand needs and ensure delivery emphasizing customer success and satisfaction.
• Lead go-to-market planning and strategic execution across sectors like councils, utilities, and corporates, have knowledge of the market and who is doing what.
• Monitor market trends in digital communication and translate insights into business outcomes.

About You:

• Strong commercial, operational, or business management experience in digital communications, SaaS, or enterprise IT within messaging, data communications.
• Solid understanding of messaging systems including SMS platforms, chatbots, and API integrations.
• Confident liaising with both technical teams and enterprise clients.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to scale and lead a business unit end-to-end with a view of growth.
