Valuable People Recruitment

Barcodes Group is an Australian-owned company that has been a leader in barcode labelling, scanning, and technology solutions for over 20 years. We provide barcode hardware, software, and label printing services, ensuring high levels of customer service, support, and after-sales care.
You’re looking to work with computers and software and like to nerd out on Excel and similar tools. You are interested in learning and actively learn all the time whether it be software or something else.
You like teaching people how to do things and can be patient while getting people to use new software. A large portion of this role is speaking to people on the phone, so it’s important that you like talking to people, and helping them with any enquiries or questions. If a customer’s having an issue, your first instinct is to fix it, and explain how you fixed it in a way they understand. Getting things working again makes you genuinely satisfied.
You’ve got IT know-how, whether you’re a recent graduate in IT, software engineering, or hardware engineering, or you’ve built things yourself for fun. You might have dabbled in Python or HTML. You understand the basics of networks, and you’re curious to learn more. Experience is a plus but the main thing we’re looking for is a can-do attitude and a fast learner.
You’ll be trained on our products (including Zebra, Bartender, and Loftware). But we’ll also expect you to learn quickly, explore our tools, and get yourself up to speed fast. We’ve got resources and there will be someone to answer your questions.
The role includes:
Managing help desk tickets in a timely manner
Responding to customer issues via phone and email
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
Installing and configuring systems, networks, printers, scanners, and mobile devices (many are Android-based)
Supporting cloud and desktop software
Using Zebra Repair Portal to book and manage jobs
Updating label software (Bartender, Loftware)
Logging and reporting tickets handled
Organising repairs & replacements where a piece of hardware has failed
Training others where needed
Knowing basic coding is a BIG plus.
There is room for growth and a pathway to a higher position in the company if you become a specialist in your area and are looking to take on more responsibility.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brunswick/Coburg, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The salary is $55K - $70K + Super (depending on experience).
If this sounds like the kind of role you’ve been looking for, apply now.
