About the Role
The National Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and delivering sustainable growth and development of SCC’s presence in the cleaning and integrated facilities management (IFM) sectors. This strategic role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding existing contracts, and fostering strong internal and external relationships based out of our Adelaide Head Office. The NBDM will drive business development strategies aligned with SCC's commercial priorities and ensure operational excellence, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Growth
Lead and execute business development strategies to secure new contracts and expand existing client relationships.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in interstate and emerging markets.
Develop national frameworks for tenders, proposals, and client relationship management.
Actively support SCC’s marketing, branding, and client engagement initiatives.
Contact And Operational Leadership
Oversee contract performance, ensuring compliance with service quality, safety, environmental, and financial standards.
Collaborate with operations for successful mobilisation and delivery of new contracts.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Monitor financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Team Development & Leadership
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing business development team.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across SCC teams.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to SCC policies, procedures, WHS regulations, and legislative requirements.
Uphold ethical and professional standards in all business interactions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of proposals, contracts, and performance data.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 5 years in a senior business development role within cleaning, facilities management, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of operational management, contract management, and business development best practices.
Proven track record of securing and managing large-scale contracts.
Advanced IT and reporting skills (CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, financial reporting).
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel interstate.
Relevant police clearances and compliance certifications.
