About this role
Scarlet Homecare is a rapidly growing organisation, and as such, we are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will be working closely with the directors and the administrative staff to develop and implement strategies to drive and maximise client acquisition and revenue growth.
This is a self-driven role where you will be expected to work autonomously under the supervision of company directors.
Duties and responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to promote client acquisition
Oversee SIL expansion and manage SIL vacancies in a timely manner
Oversee the development of SDAs and develop strategies to promote their expansion
Establish new referral pathways through networking with businesses, hospitals, Local Area Coordinators (LACs) and support coordinators
Oversee the performance of different business units and identify strategies to optimise performance and enhance KPI
Prepare applications to apply for tenders within the organisation’s scope of business
Represent the organisation at Expos and other community events
Plan events, shows and meetings to promote brand awareness and build client referrals
Analyse market trends to identify new opportunities and areas for growth, and develop and implement strategies to promote company growth
Stay up to date with NDIS and other legislative policy changes
Job requirement
Experience working in a similar position across the Health and Disability sector is preferred.
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development in the NDIS or similar sector
Possess experience and knowledge of managing successful portfolios with evidence to demonstrate portfolio growth and accomplishing targets
Have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with referral sources and other key contacts
Ability to think outside the box and be able to solve problems
Have good project management skills to manage and execute assigned projects in a timely fashion
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team – must have good time management skills to plan your own day effectively
Knowledge of the NDIS and relevant funded supports, including SIL, SDA, HCP
The ability to travel as the role requires
In-depth knowledge of the Disability Service Sector
Must have a tertiary degree in Business Development, MBA, Marketing or similar.
