We are a well-established and growing group of companies operating across construction, pharmacy, Supermarkets, property management, and trust entities. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Part-Time Assistant Accountant to work closely with our internal Accountant across multiple businesses and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day accounting for construction projects, property portfolios, pharmacies, supermarkets and trust entities

Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in compliance with regulatory standards

Process accounts payable and receivable, including cost tracking on various construction projects

Conduct bank reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions

Assist with managing cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring across entities

Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, GST, and payroll tax returns

Process payroll, superannuation, and leave entitlements

Assist with finalising year-end accounts and preparation for external audits

Maintain accurate property financial records (e.g., rent rolls, outgoings)

Assist in preparing loan documents and supporting financial information for lenders

Support financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis in collaboration with the internal Accountant

Skills & Experience Required:

CPA qualified (or equivalent)

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within construction and/or property sectors

Strong understanding of trust accounting principles and compliance

Experience in project cost tracking and construction-related job costing

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations)

Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, and MYOB

Proven experience with payroll processing and compliance

Solid understanding of cash flow management and forecasting

Familiarity with preparing loan documentation and liaising with lenders

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Ability to work independently across multiple entities
